Welcome
Join us at 10 a.m. every Sunday morning for a time of celebration for the blessings God has given us in Jesus Christ. Through vibrant music – led by our outstanding choir, praise band and music leadership – with scriptures read, a relevant message delivered, congregational singing, times of prayer and reflection, we give space for God to be at work in our hearts and minds.
What is the service like?
Our worship service is held on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. The sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month.
Services usually run one hour and 10 minutes. We have blended worship music which includes both traditional hymns to contemporary Christian song led by our wonderful praise band. You will enjoy our chancel choir and weekly anthem. The message is around 20 to 30 minutes and the teaching is practical, relevant and straight out of the bible. We share the life, joys and concerns of our church community during the worship service and we pray together. Our service is spirit filled, and fun!
Is childcare or Sunday School offered?
Infants are encouraged to worship with their parents in the main worship. Children and youths begin worship with their parents in the main service and after the Children’s moment, they are dismissed to their Sunday school. Toddlers from age 2 to 4 meet in Preschool Sunday school and kindergartener to 5th grade meets in Elementary Sunday school. Youths, from 6th grade to 12th grade meet for Youth Sunday school at the same time. Then at 11:30am, youth meet for confirmation class in Youth room.
Are doors really open to anyone?
Evergreen Valley is an exciting place to learn about God and share great times with friends and family. All are welcome, and we mean that!
What should I wear?
At our church, you can "come as you are." We are a diverse group from all walks of life, so you'll fit in just as you are. Be comfortable, and don’t feel like you need to dress up. Jeans and a T-shirt are just as acceptable as a suit or a dress.
I loved the service! Now what?
After your first visit, you’ll definitely want to find out ways to get connected. We have a variety of way for you to get connected with other believers to grow in your faith, form deep relationships, and show Christ's love to the world.
Contact the office or Pastor Sunae for further assistance getting connected in to New Membership Class. Also, checkout our Small Groups here!
How do I become a member?
We believe God has called all Christ followers to belong to a local church, and to call that church home. If you're thinking about making Evergreen Valley UMC your church home, the first step is to attend the New Membership Class with Pastor Sunae. In the class, you will learn more about the United Methodist Church, and about Evergreen Valley UMC, and introduce you to our ministry teams and describe our programs available to you at our church. Pastor Sunae and Michael will host a lunch with new members at their house along with church leaders so that we get to know one another better.
I want to serve in ministry, but I don't know where to start.
We welcome you! We need you! Serving plays a major role, not only in the health of the church, but in your life as well. Please contact any of our ministry leaders or Pastor Sunae.
